TFE043 is an AS568-043 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.489 in (88.62 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.629 in (92.18 mm). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for excellent dielectric properties and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. This material stands up to oxidizing media, steam, and solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Exposure to service requiring elastic recovery or elemental fluorine at temperature will shorten service life.
