The TFE123 is an AS568-123 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.174 in (29.82 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.38 in (35.05 mm). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for excellent dielectric properties and very wide continuous service temperature range. It resists strong acids and bases, oxidizing media, and solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Applications involving elemental fluorine at temperature or service requiring elastic recovery call for a different compound.

Typical settings include food and beverage, semiconductor fabrication, and aggressive-media pipelines.
