Part number TFE144 is an AS568-144 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.487 in (63.17 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.693 in (68.4 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists nearly all industrial chemicals, steam, and strong acids and bases. PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for a very wide continuous service temperature range and near-universal chemical inertness. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Verify compatibility before use with molten alkali metals or elemental fluorine at temperature.
