568-159 PTFE ORINGS FDA

Ordered as TFE159, this is an AS568-159 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.987 in (126.67 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.193 in (131.9 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for excellent dielectric properties and very wide continuous service temperature range. Expect good resistance to oxidizing media, strong acids and bases, and solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals.
