Part number QV70040 is an AS568-040 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.864 in (72.75 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.004 in (76.3 mm). A quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and outstanding high-temperature capability. This material stands up to aggressive chemicals, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. The profile itself contributes a parting line located away from the sealing surface and lower compressive load required to achieve a seal.
