Q-045 FLUOROELASTOMER 75 Q RING

Part number QV70045 is an AS568-045 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.989 in (101.32 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.129 in (104.88 mm). A quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

This material stands up to engine and transmission fluids, chlorinated solvents, and many acids. Viton® (FKM) is specified for outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). The profile itself contributes lower compressive load required to achieve a seal and two sealing bands per contact face rather than one.
