Q-046 FLUOROELASTOMER 75 Q RING

QV70046 is an AS568-046 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.239 in (107.67 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.379 in (111.23 mm). In service, this quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

It resists aggressive chemicals, aromatic hydrocarbons, and engine and transmission fluids. Viton® (FKM) is valued for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or hot water and steam will shorten service life. The profile itself contributes two sealing bands per contact face rather than one and resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings.

It sees regular use in automotive fuel systems, high-temperature process equipment, and aerospace.
