Q-161 FLUOROELASTOMER 75 Q RING

APG stocks the QV70161, an AS568-161 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.487 in (139.37 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.693 in (144.6 mm). A quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. This material stands up to aromatic hydrocarbons, petroleum oils and fuels, and aggressive chemicals. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in amines or ketones and esters. The profile itself contributes resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings and lower compressive load required to achieve a seal.
