Part number QV70276 is an AS568-276 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 10.984 in (278.99 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 11.262 in (286.05 mm). A quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is known for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and outstanding high-temperature capability. It resists many acids, petroleum oils and fuels, and chlorinated solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to ketones and esters or amines will shorten service life. The profile itself contributes a parting line located away from the sealing surface and two sealing bands per contact face rather than one.
