Q-283 BUNA 70 Q RING

APG stocks the QH70283, an AS568-283 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 16.955 in (430.66 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 17.233 in (437.72 mm). A quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. This material stands up to many alcohols, water, and greases and lubricants. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Applications involving strong acids or ozone and direct sunlight call for a different compound.
