Ordered as QV70283, this is an AS568-283 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 16.955 in (430.66 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 17.233 in (437.72 mm). The quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The compound resists aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and petroleum oils and fuels. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
