Ordered as QV70375, this is an AS568-375 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 9.475 in (240.67 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.895 in (251.33 mm). The quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material holds up against aromatic hydrocarbons, many acids, and petroleum oils and fuels. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving hot water and steam or amines call for a different compound. The profile itself contributes two sealing bands per contact face rather than one and a parting line located away from the sealing surface.
