Part number QV70385 is an AS568-385 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 15.955 in (405.26 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 16.375 in (415.93 mm). A quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. It resists chlorinated solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, and petroleum oils and fuels. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to hot water and steam or amines will shorten service life. The profile itself contributes two sealing bands per contact face rather than one and lower compressive load required to achieve a seal.
