Ordered as QV70451, this is an AS568-451 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 10.975 in (278.77 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 11.525 in (292.74 mm). The quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Viton® (FKM) is valued for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, aggressive chemicals, and petroleum oils and fuels. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam will shorten service life. The profile itself contributes two sealing bands per contact face rather than one and lower compressive load required to achieve a seal.
