Ordered as QV70459, this is an AS568-459 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 14.975 in (380.37 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 15.525 in (394.34 mm). The quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

Viton® (FKM) is known for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and outstanding high-temperature capability. Expect good resistance to aggressive chemicals, engine and transmission fluids, and chlorinated solvents. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in hot water and steam or ketones and esters. The profile itself contributes lower compressive load required to achieve a seal and resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings.
