APG stocks the QH70045, an AS568-045 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.989 in (101.32 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.129 in (104.88 mm). A quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for low compression set under sustained load, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. This material stands up to greases and lubricants, many alcohols, and hydraulic fluids. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where strong acids or ozone and direct sunlight are present. The profile itself contributes two sealing bands per contact face rather than one and resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings.
