Q-168 BUNA 70 Q RING

QH70168 is an AS568-168 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 7.237 in (183.82 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.443 in (189.05 mm). In service, this quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

Expect good resistance to hydraulic fluids, water, and propane and butane. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer, strong abrasion and tear resistance. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving ozone and direct sunlight or strong acids call for a different compound.
