Q-238 BUNA 70 Q RING

APG stocks the QH70238, an AS568-238 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 3.484 in (88.49 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.762 in (95.55 mm). A quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

This material stands up to greases and lubricants, hydraulic fluids, and many alcohols. Buna-N (Nitrile) offers the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer, strong abrasion and tear resistance. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving ketones or strong acids call for a different compound. The profile itself contributes a parting line located away from the sealing surface and lower compressive load required to achieve a seal.
