Part number QH70254 is an AS568-254 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.484 in (139.29 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.762 in (146.35 mm). A quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. The compound resists petroleum-based oils, many alcohols, and water. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving strong acids or ketones call for a different compound.
