The QH70456 is an AS568-456 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 13.475 in (342.27 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 14.025 in (356.24 mm). This quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.
As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for low compression set under sustained load, strong abrasion and tear resistance. This material stands up to many alcohols, greases and lubricants, and propane and butane. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where automotive brake fluid or polar solvents are present. The profile itself contributes a parting line located away from the sealing surface and resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings.
Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across automotive, construction equipment, and fluid power.
Stocked as QH70456 and sold individually. Unit weight is approximately 55.79 g. As always, verify media compatibility and operating conditions against the requirements of your specific application. If you need a size, durometer or compound that is not listed, APG can cross-reference from a print, a sample or a competitor part number.
