The QH70458 is an AS568-458 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 14.475 in (367.67 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 15.025 in (381.64 mm). This quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) offers strong abrasion and tear resistance, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. The material holds up against propane and butane, petroleum-based oils, and water. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in polar solvents or ozone and direct sunlight. The profile itself contributes a parting line located away from the sealing surface and resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings.
