Q-015 FLUOROELASTOMER 75 Q RING

APG stocks the QV70015, an AS568-015 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.551 in (14 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.691 in (17.55 mm). A quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

The compound resists many acids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aggressive chemicals. Viton® (FKM) is valued for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters call for a different compound. The profile itself contributes resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings and lower compressive load required to achieve a seal.
