Q-019 FLUOROELASTOMER 75 Q RING

Ordered as QV70019, this is an AS568-019 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.801 in (20.35 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.941 in (23.9 mm). The quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and outstanding high-temperature capability. It resists many acids, engine and transmission fluids, and chlorinated solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in hot water and steam or ketones and esters. The profile itself contributes resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings and lower compressive load required to achieve a seal.
