Ordered as QV70124, this is an AS568-124 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.237 in (31.42 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.443 in (36.65 mm). The quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

The compound resists aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and petroleum oils and fuels. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) delivers outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Verify compatibility before use with low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines. The profile itself contributes lower compressive load required to achieve a seal and a parting line located away from the sealing surface.
