Q-242 FLUOROELASTOMER 75 Q RING

Ordered as QV70242, this is an AS568-242 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 3.984 in (101.19 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.262 in (108.25 mm). The quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. It resists aromatic hydrocarbons, engine and transmission fluids, and petroleum oils and fuels. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). The profile itself contributes two sealing bands per contact face rather than one and a parting line located away from the sealing surface.
