Ordered as QV70266, this is an AS568-266 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 7.984 in (202.79 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.262 in (209.85 mm). The quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. It resists engine and transmission fluids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and aggressive chemicals. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or hot water and steam will shorten service life.
