This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-342 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile measuring an inside diameter of 3.6 in (91.44 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.02 in (102.11 mm), catalogued under part number QV70342. It provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. This material stands up to petroleum oils and fuels, aggressive chemicals, and many acids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
