This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-349 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A with an inside diameter of 4.475 in (113.67 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.895 in (124.33 mm), catalogued under part number QV70349. It resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

This material stands up to aggressive chemicals, many acids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Viton® (FKM) is specified for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit.
