Part number QV70431 is an AS568-431 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.225 in (132.72 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.775 in (146.69 mm). A quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

The compound resists aromatic hydrocarbons, petroleum oils and fuels, and engine and transmission fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) offers very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
