QV70440 is an AS568-440 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 6.725 in (170.82 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.275 in (184.79 mm). In service, this quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

The compound resists chlorinated solvents, many acids, and aggressive chemicals. Viton® (FKM) is known for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids will shorten service life.
