This o-ring is supplied in AS568-021 red Silicone 70 Shore A with an inside diameter of 0.926 in (23.52 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.066 in (27.08 mm), catalogued under part number S70FDA021. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Silicone is known for excellent electrical insulating properties, physiological inertness and low toxicity. Expect good resistance to many oxidizing chemicals, extreme heat and cold, and ozone and UV exposure. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. Applications involving steam above its rated range or abrasive dynamic service call for a different compound.
