Product Specification

-
The S70FDA043 is an AS568-043 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.489 in (88.62 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.629 in (92.18 mm). This o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

Silicone is known for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and very good compression set resistance across its range. It resists weathering, ozone and UV exposure, and many oxidizing chemicals. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving hydrocarbon fuels and oils or abrasive dynamic service call for a different compound.

The compound meets FDA requirements for food contact under 21 CFR 177.2600. Common environments for this compound include electronics and electrical enclosures, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and sanitary process lines.

S70FDA043 ships individually. Unit weight is approximately 1.04 g and nominal inside diameter is listed as 3 1/2 inch. Check the compound against your process media, pressure and temperature before committing to a design. For a size or compound outside the standard catalog, APG can quote from a print or sample.
