S70FDA109 is an AS568-109 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.299 in (7.59 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.505 in (12.83 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.
The compound resists ozone and UV exposure, dry heat, and weathering. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone offers very good compression set resistance across its range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to hydrocarbon fuels and oils or abrasive dynamic service will shorten service life.
This item meets FDA requirements for food contact under 21 CFR 177.2600. Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across pharmaceutical manufacturing, medical devices, and ovens and heated equipment.
Reference part number S70FDA109 when ordering; the item is sold individually. Unit weight is approximately 0.25 g and nominal inside diameter is listed as 5/16 inch. Check the compound against your process media, pressure and temperature before committing to a design. If you need a size, durometer or compound that is not listed, APG can cross-reference from a print, a sample or a competitor part number.
