Product Specification

-
Ordered as S70FDA146, this is an AS568-146 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.612 in (66.34 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.818 in (71.58 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Silicone delivers physiological inertness and low toxicity, excellent electrical insulating properties. Expect good resistance to extreme heat and cold, weathering, and ozone and UV exposure. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to concentrated acids or hydrocarbon fuels and oils will shorten service life.

This item meets FDA requirements for food contact under 21 CFR 177.2600. Common environments for this compound include ovens and heated equipment, electronics and electrical enclosures, and sanitary process lines.

S70FDA146 ships individually. Unit weight is approximately 1.69 g. As always, verify media compatibility and operating conditions against the requirements of your specific application. APG supports cross-referencing from drawings, samples and competitor numbers when a listed size is not an exact fit.
