This o-ring is supplied in AS568-257 red Silicone 70 Shore A with an inside diameter of 5.859 in (148.82 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.137 in (155.88 mm), catalogued under part number S70FDA257. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Silicone is specified here for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and excellent electrical insulating properties. It resists weathering, many oxidizing chemicals, and ozone and UV exposure. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).
