Product Specification

-
The S70FDA271 is an AS568-271 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 9.234 in (234.54 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.512 in (241.6 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Silicone is specified here for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures, physiological inertness and low toxicity. The material holds up against extreme heat and cold, dry heat, and weathering. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to hydrocarbon fuels and oils or concentrated acids will shorten service life.

This o-ring meets FDA requirements for food contact under 21 CFR 177.2600. You will find this material specified across sanitary process lines, ovens and heated equipment, and food and beverage processing.

This item is sold individually under part number S70FDA271. Unit weight is approximately 10.13 g. Application requirements vary, so validate compatibility with your process conditions prior to installation. APG can cross-reference from an existing part number, a drawing or a physical sample if this size is not an exact match.
