Product Specification

-
This o-ring is supplied in AS568-317 red Silicone 70 Shore A with an inside diameter of 0.912 in (23.16 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.332 in (33.83 mm), catalogued under part number S70FDA317. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Silicone is specified here for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and exceptionally wide service temperature range. The compound resists many oxidizing chemicals, ozone and UV exposure, and dry heat. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in concentrated acids or hydrocarbon fuels and oils.

The compound meets FDA requirements for food contact under 21 CFR 177.2600. Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across electronics and electrical enclosures, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and ovens and heated equipment.

Stocked as S70FDA317 and sold individually. Unit weight is approximately 2.815 g. Review your operating media and conditions against this specification before installation. For a size or compound outside the standard catalog, APG can quote from a print or sample.
