Product Specification

-
The S70FDA376 is an AS568-376 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 9.725 in (247.02 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 10.145 in (257.68 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Silicone is valued for very good compression set resistance across its range, physiological inertness and low toxicity. The compound resists extreme heat and cold, many oxidizing chemicals, and weathering. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving steam above its rated range or abrasive dynamic service call for a different compound.

The compound meets FDA requirements for food contact under 21 CFR 177.2600. Typical settings include sanitary process lines, electronics and electrical enclosures, and medical devices.

Reference part number S70FDA376 when ordering; the item is sold individually. Unit weight is approximately 24.6 g. Check the compound against your process media, pressure and temperature before committing to a design. For a size or compound outside the standard catalog, APG can quote from a print or sample.
