The S70FDA377 is an AS568-377 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 9.975 in (253.37 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 10.395 in (264.03 mm). This o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.
It resists many oxidizing chemicals, weathering, and ozone and UV exposure. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is known for physiological inertness and low toxicity, flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to abrasive dynamic service or hydrocarbon fuels and oils will shorten service life.
This item meets FDA requirements for food contact under 21 CFR 177.2600. You will find this material specified across medical devices, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and ovens and heated equipment.
Stocked as S70FDA377 and sold individually. Unit weight is approximately 25.29 g and nominal inside diameter is listed as 10 inch. As always, verify media compatibility and operating conditions against the requirements of your specific application. If you need a size, durometer or compound that is not listed, APG can cross-reference from a print, a sample or a competitor part number.
