Product Specification

-
APG stocks the S70FDA446, an AS568-446 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 8.475 in (215.27 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.025 in (229.24 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The material holds up against many oxidizing chemicals, ozone and UV exposure, and extreme heat and cold. Silicone is known for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to abrasive dynamic service or steam above its rated range will shorten service life.

This o-ring meets FDA requirements for food contact under 21 CFR 177.2600. You will find this material specified across food and beverage processing, sanitary process lines, and medical devices.

This item is sold individually under part number S70FDA446. Unit weight is approximately 37.54 g and nominal inside diameter is listed as 8 1/2 inch. Review your operating media and conditions against this specification before installation.
