APG stocks the S3X100, a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 100 mm (3.937 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 106 mm (4.17 in). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists many oxidizing chemicals, ozone and UV exposure, and dry heat. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is specified for excellent electrical insulating properties, physiological inertness and low toxicity. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where abrasive dynamic service or steam above its rated range are present.
