-117 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

Ordered as S70117, this is an AS568-117 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.799 in (20.29 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.005 in (25.53 mm). The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, Silicone delivers excellent electrical insulating properties and very good compression set resistance across its range. Expect good resistance to weathering, many oxidizing chemicals, and ozone and UV exposure. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving concentrated acids or abrasive dynamic service call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in medical devices, ovens and heated equipment, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
