APG stocks the S1X25, a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 25 mm (0.984 in), a cross section of 1 mm (0.039 in), and an outside diameter of 27 mm (1.06 in). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Silicone is specified here for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and excellent electrical insulating properties. This material stands up to ozone and UV exposure, extreme heat and cold, and dry heat. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving steam above its rated range or hydrocarbon fuels and oils call for a different compound.
