S1X4 is a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4 mm (0.157 in), a cross section of 1 mm (0.039 in), and an outside diameter of 6 mm (0.24 in). In service, this o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

Expect good resistance to many oxidizing chemicals, extreme heat and cold, and ozone and UV exposure. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone offers flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and excellent electrical insulating properties. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to hydrocarbon fuels and oils or steam above its rated range will shorten service life.
