4MM CS X 40MM ID RED SILICONE 70D

Part number S4X40 is a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 40 mm (1.575 in), a cross section of 4 mm (0.157 in), and an outside diameter of 48 mm (1.89 in). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Expect good resistance to extreme heat and cold, dry heat, and many oxidizing chemicals. Silicone is valued for very good compression set resistance across its range, physiological inertness and low toxicity. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where concentrated acids or steam above its rated range are present.
