5MM CS X 40MM ID RED SILICONE 70D

Part number S5X40 is a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 40 mm (1.575 in), a cross section of 5 mm (0.197 in), and an outside diameter of 50 mm (1.97 in). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The material holds up against many oxidizing chemicals, extreme heat and cold, and ozone and UV exposure. Silicone delivers very good compression set resistance across its range and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to concentrated acids or steam above its rated range will shorten service life.
