Ordered as S1X6, this is a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 6 mm (0.236 in), a cross section of 1 mm (0.039 in), and an outside diameter of 8 mm (0.31 in). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The material holds up against weathering, ozone and UV exposure, and dry heat. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone offers physiological inertness and low toxicity, very good compression set resistance across its range. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where concentrated acids or hydrocarbon fuels and oils are present.
