5MM CS X 72MM ID RED SILICONE 70D

The S5X72 is a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 72 mm (2.835 in), a cross section of 5 mm (0.197 in), and an outside diameter of 82 mm (3.23 in). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Silicone is specified here for physiological inertness and low toxicity, flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. The material holds up against ozone and UV exposure, extreme heat and cold, and many oxidizing chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. Applications involving steam above its rated range or hydrocarbon fuels and oils call for a different compound.
