The S4X85 is a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 85 mm (3.346 in), a cross section of 4 mm (0.157 in), and an outside diameter of 93 mm (3.66 in). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists dry heat, ozone and UV exposure, and weathering. Silicone offers flexibility that holds at very low temperatures, physiological inertness and low toxicity. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where concentrated acids or steam above its rated range are present.
