Product Specification

-
APG stocks the S70908, an AS568-908 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.644 in (16.36 mm), a cross section of 0.087 in (2.21 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.818 in (20.78 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The compound resists extreme heat and cold, many oxidizing chemicals, and weathering. Silicone is specified for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures, physiological inertness and low toxicity. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where hydrocarbon fuels and oils or concentrated acids are present.

Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across sanitary process lines, food and beverage processing, and electronics and electrical enclosures.

Reference part number S70908 when ordering; the item is sold individually. Unit weight is approximately 0.314 g and nominal inside diameter is listed as 1/2 inch. Application requirements vary, so validate compatibility with your process conditions prior to installation. If you need a size, durometer or compound that is not listed, APG can cross-reference from a print, a sample or a competitor part number.
